You're being quite sarcastic these days, aren't you? :)
What's up?

I meant change! I'm not being sarcatic... I was serious both times. It'd be great to cure cancer and hehe well, Canadians are always seen as people who don't do anything, so...

About the special effects, I'd really like to do that, but I never had the chance to go to a school for that. I don't know how far I'd be ready to go to do it. I don't feel like moving anymore. :(

Are they? I don't know, in France they're rather seen as "the cousins from North Americans" :)

I did a quick check on Google, and there seems to be a serious "artistic make-up" in Strasbourg, so, closer from Besançon than Paris.
Their programs include fx make-up and they have different programs.

Maybe they have short programs that you could follow?

Yeah well, mainly by Americans... that whole South Park thing! Although I'm glad we're not doing much army wise.

Wow, that school seems to be amazing... I wish it were still a bit closer, damn! I'd need to rent another apartment and it'd get expensive, hmmm. Thanks for sending me the link though, maybe I'll find a way.

I didn't check their programs thoroughly, but since it's composed of different modules, maybe you don't have to follow them all, or for whole year?
Considering your portfolio, you don't seem to need a complete training since you already know a lot, so I guess it might mainly be useful for you for the options you don't master (sfx, since it's what you fancy), and mostly also, to get contacts in the industry and useful tips to present your work.
Get out with the creative crowd and make yourself a new net of artistic relationships in France :)

Not a whole year, but at least two months, so I'd have to worry about paying for lodging... it might still be worth it though, I have to think about it. Yes, it'd be great to meet people with the same interests!

For temporary lodging, you might want to check if they have such a thing as "foyer de jeunes travailleurs".
Several colleagues of mine stayed in some of those when they started to work. It's usually less expensive than hotels.
Also ask for information at the... je ne connais pas le nom anglais, à la mairie, ils doivent avoir des informations sur les solutions de logements pour les jeunes étudiants ou jeunes travailleurs, des associations qui aident à la co-location, etc... :)

Yes, you'd still have to pay, but it doesn't have to be excruciatingly expensive.
