Paris by night - January 2005

Took a few pics to finish the roll last Friday. Have a few pics taken by night last month.

Someone apparently decided to do an artistic experiment on this side of the Seine. Flashy colored spots on the river. Looks pretty, I must say.

More of the same. A few more colors and we'd be ready for the Gay Pride a few months ahead.

This is actually an open backyard inside a toy shop.
The blue light in the pool comes from a game arcade below.

That's one thing I love about Paris. All you have to do is be there and snap a picture, and the camera and the town make the work.

I take a lot of pictures of it, but I rarely take the time to scan them and post them, since my camera are not digital ones.

It's not usually that colored :)
And it's the best-looking side of the town.

But I love Paris a lot.

Wow, these photographs could pass as fine paintings. I love it, the colors are so pretty. sort of like a Monet because of those colors.

Thanks for posting them.

My camera loves challenging light conditions :)

It was only a 400 ISO film, not done for night really, but since this one camera has no zoom and a good lens (or so I was told by 2 persons, a user and one seeing my pictures), it can be enough.

Yuk yuk yuk yuk. I guess I've spent too many nights by the river banks to find this pretty :)

What toy store is that?

Pervert :)
That's one reason why I didn't stay there too long, though. But it was early (6 pm) so the only persons I saw were ladies walking their dogs and random Parisians. No cruiser.

The toy store is Jouéclub, Bvd des Italiens or nearby.

Ohh right. Those are indeed the same ugly colors as on the Mairie pictures I saw a couple days ago.

Is the mayor trying to look more straight (by installing color-blind decorations and lobbying to host the Games) because reelection time is getting closer?

*g* When I saw the lights, I actually thought there was only one or two missing for the rainbow flag, so... if "looking straight" was his intention, bad move ;)

Thanks for the snap log quotation.
