Prince Rainier of Monaco.

Though I haven't actually checked if he wasnt already dead.
And though I kind of consider that "for what matters", Terri Schiavo had been dead for 15 years. It's just her body that caught back with her brain.

Yes, right...I forgot about that.

I kind of consider that "for what matters", Terri Schiavo had been dead for 15 years. It's just her body that caught back with her brain.
Well, she wasn't braindead...but I think I understand what you mean.

Well, she wasn't braindead...

All the higher functions of her brain were gone because that section of her brain had been necrosed and replaced by cerebro-spinal fluid, so for me that equates to being dead as a human being.
Even most animals had more consciousness than her.

*nods* Not according to most laws, though. The 'dead' part that is.

I know about the legal part, but that's where I think laws should be adapted to specific cases.
And anyway, I'm in favor of euthanasia, which is still illegal inmost countries including mine.

*nods* The living wills should help with that.

And as you probably know, I'm against it. As well as suicide. We can't decide whether to be born or not, so why should we be 'allowed' to choose to die? I guess I'm just being selfish, I just don't want anyone to come after me next! ;-þ

Actually that's one of the reasons why I am in favor of it. Because we can't decide to be born or not, so we should be able to decide if we want to stop it.
But then I don't believe in a god, and if there is one, I don't give him the right to decide for me about whether I should live or not, if I decide I don't want to keep living.

I see your point. I may not agree with you, but I think I now understand where you're coming from.

Ah yes *checks*
I was going to say "Woohoo!", but then I don't have any specific reason to be that mean to that dude, so I'll refrain. Okay I did talk about it...
