Harry Potter 6

A lot of people seem to discuss this, so for the record :

- I don't intend to buy the book as hardcover because after the 5th one, it doesn't seem worth it. I'll probably wait for the paperback.

- but I'll be avoiding to read spoilers as much as I can.

I'm going to the release party at Barnes & Noble tonight, haha. I'm a loser. In my defense, this will be the first time I've ever gone to the release party of a Harry Potter book, as I too usually wait for the paperback and borrow friends' copies in the meantime. But hey, there's only two books left in the series. If I'm going to hit one of the parties, I should probably do it now!

I have a feeling this one won't be nearly as exciting as the last book's arrival. The press surrounding Book 5 was just HUGE. I think that the publicity is lacking this time because Book 5 sucked so badly. >)

Nothing wrong with release parties :)
I don't think there are any over here. It's already exceptional that they're releasing the UK version in most bookshops, while usually we only get translations, months later.

I think that the publicity is lacking this time because Book 5 sucked so badly.

*sigh* Yeah, it's exactly the case for me, so I can see where the medias would be cautious now.

I was never a huge huge fan, and last time I bought Book 5 right away mostly because I didn't want to be spoiled and I knew half of my f-list would talk about it sooner or later.

But this time around... Not worth it.
