Is it their age, that fans think they know what's best for them? That's fascinating.
Ya know, taking time in between tours to record new songs and, well, live things to write about. Instead of packing up promo and gigs in places they've already made concerts in 6 months before.
Because so far, all of the fan pressure goes towards asking them to do more gigs, more autographs, more everything.
So that sort of implies he needs saving by fans... which... yeah.
It's not meant to be taken literally.
I swear I'm never writing another postcard or signing a petition ever again :)
Maybe because being liberated from the opinion of others fans AND the artist (as in "since you're just a wallet anyway"), I couldn't care less about... oh, anything else really.
Self-esteem? Got none left in that domain. I mean, they're TH. Admitting you like them is already making you a subject of laughter, mostly, so eh. It can't get worse.
And the funniest thing is... I don't even care all that much. The time I spend thinking about them is inversely proportional to how emotionnally committed I really am to them :)
It's only for fuuuuuun!
Not getting too involved too.
Speaking of which, I should probably de-involve myself a little as I speak, because they've just announced a mass of decisions regarding future shows that make me wonder if they're trying to please the fans or to aggravate them... o_O
Is JMLive or JCB now working for TH or what?
Too many new gigs to make up for it, or not enough?
The current tour is pending, with the singer stuck in bed for a whole week, and they've added 4 shows in Canada and USA at the "tail" of the tour, in April...
*roll eyes*
They can add as many dates as they want, if he never gets a break and never gets an actual voice coach, they'll have to cancel shows here and there on the day because he won't be able to sing all of them :P
Plus, to try to "make it" in Canada and USA, if he's on his knees with half a voice when he performs there, reviews won't be good anyway... so, so stoopid, the whole thing.
Also to "make up" for the cancelled show this week in Geneva, they have moved the other show planned in Geneva for July, to a bigger venue than it was. It got switched from a 7,000 venue to a 30,000 stadium... AND tickets are automatically transferred, but not refundable! o_O
Not to mention, 10 days ago during the Paris shows, they announced that their Summer show in Paris was moved from June 20 to June 21. Officially, because of fan petitions complaining that it was during higschool finals (June 21 is a Saturday, and there _were_ petitions... launched in January when the date was announced and before tickets were put on sale).
But we suspect it's also / mostly because 2 months after the start of ticket sales, it's not sold out yet. So someone must have put 1 and 1 together and "... Ooooh, THAT is why the kids were complaining! Maybe it'll sell better if we move the date to the week-end?"
But doing it now, when a lot of people have already booked their hotel and transport... Geez, thanks. *roll eyes*
I don't care for me, I hadn't booked for any of those (touching wood, but that's where I say that all the bad luck I had in timing with JM, karma is paying it back now : I only get to see TH's good gigs and not suffer from the drama).
But I'm wondering if there is anyone with a brain looking at that schedule...
